In 2023, IFGS supplied perforated fiberglass / GRE / FRP screen pipe for coalbed methane (CBM) downhole service in Mongolia. This page is a project case — factory winding, export packing, and winter receive photos — not another materials explainer.
For why CBM wells evaluate non-metallic screens, read Why coalbed methane wells need FRP/GRE screen pipe. Operator names, basin labels, well counts, and production rates are not published here.

Factory: filament-wound GRE / FRP
The tubular body for this screen-pipe class is produced as filament-wound GRE/FRP at the licensed partner factory. Plant photos show continuous winding on the line and large-OD capability — qualitative evidence of how the pipe is made, not an acceptance table for the Mongolia wells.

When buyers discuss GRE tubular families in general, API Spec 15HR / 15LR may appear on tenders. That language is separate from calling a screen joint “API 15S.” This case is screen pipe, not spoolable surface RTP.
Pack and ship: warehouse to winter container
Export jobs fail in the yard as often as in the hole. Bundles were strapped in the warehouse, then loaded to container under winter conditions. Snow in the photo is a logistics fact — it is not a certified arctic product rating.

Site receive: crane unload in snow
On the receiving side, bundles were handled by crane in snow. The public story stops at country + year + duty + product family. We do not invent how many wells were completed or what they produced.

What this case is useful for (buyers)
Use it when your RFQ looks like: CBM downhole + non-metallic screen + remote winter logistics. The photos prove IFGS and its partner factory can produce, pack, and deliver screen tubulars into a cold receiving environment. They do not prove slot geometry, pressure class, or well results.

Why screen pipe for this CBM class (short)
CBM downhole service combines gas, water, and fines. Buyers shortlist FRP/GRE screens when corrosion, weight, and sand-control open area dominate the completion conversation. The full driver map lives in the explainer — this case only locks 2023 / Mongolia / CBM downhole / perforated FRP·GRE screen.

IFGS note
IFGS sources GRE / FRP / RTP equipment from licensed partner factories in China and worldwide and handles spec confirmation, procurement and pre-shipment QC. This article documents a 2023 Mongolia supply of CBM downhole perforated screen pipe with field logistics photos. It does not invent operator names, well counts, certificates, or a Mongolia factory.
FAQ
Is this the same as the “why CBM needs screen pipe” article? No. That post explains drivers. This post is the 2023 Mongolia case with locked facts and logistics photos.
Can you name the operator? Not in this public post. Ask via contact for a controlled reference process.
Is the product API 15S RTP? No. This case is downhole screen pipe, not spoolable surface RTP.
