Project Case Studies | IFGS Field Experience

These records cover delivered IFGS project work — what was supplied, for which duty, and where the public story stops. Every block below is limited to facts already published on this site, following the same standard the individual case articles use: the snapshot is labelled locked facts only, and unknown fields are left visible as blanks rather than filled in.

Operator names, basin and pad labels, well counts, production rates, vessel and port names, and freight figures are not published here. Where a number is missing, it is missing on purpose — it becomes a field for your own RFQ data.

How to read these records

Each case gives a snapshot table (year, location, duty or product, key specs, manufacturer), a short note on what the record does and does not prove, and a link to the full article and its field photos. Published project envelopes are quoted as published — they are not a combined rating claim, and they are not a substitute for size-specific drawings and datasheets.

One article on this site is an inquiry example rather than a project record: 950 m water well: casing and screen inquiry example describes a requested well configuration that, in the article’s own words, does not establish an approved IFGS product rating or a completed installation. It is deliberately kept out of the delivered cases below.

Mongolia 2023: FRP / GRE screen pipe for CBM downhole service

ItemValue
Year2023
LocationMongolia (no operator / pad name published)
DutyCBM downhole
ProductPerforated FRP / GRE screen pipe
ManufacturerIFGS · Dongying, China
Visual recordPlant winding → warehouse bundles → winter container → crane unload in snow

The tubular body for this screen-pipe class is produced as filament-wound GRE / FRP in Dongying. The published factory photos show continuous winding on the line and large-OD capability — qualitative evidence of how the pipe is made, not an acceptance table for the wells. The product supplied here is downhole screen pipe, not spoolable surface RTP.

RFQ-variable fields this case does not invent: hole size, slot / open area, design pressure and temperature, fluid chemistry, joint type, joint count, third-party inspection, and the exact string design. Packing and winter handling are documented as logistics; snow in the photo is not a certified arctic product rating.

Iraq south oilfield 2025: 6″ API 15S RTP, 10 km at 1500 psi / 85 °C

ItemValue
Product6 inch API Spec 15S RTP
Design pressure1500 psi
Design temperature85 °C
Length10 km
LocationIraq south oilfield (onshore)
Year2025
ManufacturerIFGS · Dongying, China

The published record is onshore trench-pull installation of spoolable RTP: pipe entering the trench under pull control and seated in the open cut before backfill. At 10 km, joint count, NDE load and string-out planning dominate the cost conversation, and spoolable API 15S RTP is bought as a system — pipe plus end fittings or couplers, plus reeling and pull assumptions — not as anonymous plastic pipe.

Scope note: this is onshore spoolable API Spec 15S. It is not API 17J and not deepwater. Blanks left for your next RFQ (not invented here): H₂S / CO₂ / salinity, burial depth and cover, exact service (gathering, injection or other), contractor scope, and the third-party inspection plan.

Iraq 2025 RTP logistics: yard, highway convoy, port and site receive

This is the shipping and handling record for the same 2025 Iraq south envelope — the companion article to the install case above, not a separate project scope. It covers the chain from the yard to the receiving site, not the trench pull.

ItemValue
Project envelope6 inch API Spec 15S RTP · 1500 psi · 85 °C · 10 km · 2025
Logistics chainYard reel staging → highway convoy on flatbeds (blue-tarped spools) → port loading with ship and shore cranes → Iraq south site truck and crane unload
ManufacturerIFGS · Dongying, China

The published argument is that logistics is half the job on a 10 km spoolable string: stick steel is priced in joints and weld crews, while spoolable RTP is priced in reels, multimodal lifts and site crane plans. Truck count follows reel OD, weight and escort rules rather than joint bundles, and the handling plan belongs in the RFQ beside the pipe meterage.

Deliberately not published in this record: operator name, vessel name, port name, TEU count, highway name, escort contract, transit hours, and door-to-door day count. The handling photos are evidence of practice, not a freight tariff.

What none of these records contain

Across every case above, the following are absent on purpose: customer and operator names, basin or pad labels, well counts, production rates, certificate or listing claims, and prices or freight costs. The published envelope stops at country, year, duty and product family.
