Searching fiberglass pipe manufacturers usually means you already have a corrosive or weight-sensitive line in mind. The next failure mode is not “no suppliers” — it is unequal bids from plants you cannot compare. Use this checklist before you send drawings or ask for a price.
IFGS manufactures GRE, FRP/GRP, and RTP equipment in Dongying, China. We do not claim a USA factory. This guide is buyer RFQ language that also explains how to read a Dongying supplier honestly.

Start with the product family, not the brochure
Write one line that freezes scope:
- GRE / FRP stick line pipe or tubulars — often discussed with API Spec 15HR / 15LR.
- Spoolable RTP / flexible composite — API Spec 15S language. Do not mix with 15HR/15LR on the same line item.
- Tanks, fittings, screen tube — separate RFQs; different QA packs.
If the tender only says “fiberglass pipe,” stop and split the family before you shortlist manufacturers.

Buyer checklist: how to qualify a fiberglass pipe manufacturer

1. QA system you can audit
- ITP outline for the product family you are buying (not a generic ISO poster).
- Traceability: heat/batch/joint identity as applicable to composites.
- Hold points: who witnesses hydrostatic / joint tests if your project requires it.
Ask for documents that match this SKU class. A corporate brochure is not an ITP.
2. Standards language without fake monograms
- Write the Spec letter your tender uses: 15HR, 15LR, or 15S.
- Treat “API” adjectives on a website as marketing until the quote pack names the construction and tests you will buy.
- Do not invent listing marks or monogram claims in the RFQ reply — ask the plant to state what they will document.
3. Capacity and lead realism
- Diameter / pressure class envelope they actually run for your family.
- Monthly capacity vs your meterage (or reel plan for RTP).
- Tooling or coupler lead time if joints are special.
4. Export and logistics
- Packing for stick pipe vs reels (RTP changes truck and crane plans).
- Destination country, Incoterm preference (buyer-owned — not invented by the article).
- Winter / desert handling notes if the pad is seasonal.
5. Joint and coupler system
- Adhesive-bonded, double-bell, threaded, or RTP end-fittings — named with the pipe family.
- Spare kit policy and joint test scope.
- Unequal bids often hide missing joint scope, not pipe price alone.
RFQ fields that make manufacturer bids comparable
- Product family + Spec letter (15HR / 15LR / 15S).
- Size / class, design pressure and temperature as project fields.
- Fluid / medium (incl. H₂S, CO₂, salinity if known).
- Length or reel plan; burial vs surface.
- Joint type; documentation and inspection expectations.
- Destination and packing constraints.
Honest IFGS angle (Dongying)
IFGS is a Dongying manufacturer of GRE / FRP / RTP oilfield equipment. Use the checklist above to qualify any shortlist — including us. We will not claim a USA plant, invent monograms, or quote from an empty “world-class” line.

FAQ
Is every fiberglass pipe manufacturer the same as an RTP plant?
No. Stick GRE/FRP and spoolable RTP (15S) are different manufacturing and logistics paths. Split the RFQ.
Can I use this checklist for tanks or screen tube?
Use the same QA / export logic, but open a separate RFQ — slot charts and vessel codes do not belong on a line-pipe bid sheet.
Does IFGS have a USA factory?
No. Dongying, China only on this page.
